I haven’t been to too many places in the world, and the introduction of the Internet into my life has made it less likely for me to leave the house. I expect to travel soon. Maybe visit Salzburg, Austria and spend the night in Thomas Bernhard’s house, or, if that doesn’t strike my fancy, I will go to W and, after research in the local library, take a picture of the late WG Sebald’s childhood roost. This much is for certain: there will be a day when the world will find me outside my element and even farther outside my house.
